Answering some common questions about my work and military OSINT

Over the past few months, I’ve been getting a lot of DMs centered around a few topics. Trying to answer some:

  1. If you need anything, please write it down in initial message itself. Saves us both some time.
  2. If you have any specific question about any particular thing related to military OSINT, I can try answering that only. I don’t have time or energy to teach anything. I’ve not done any course, not aware of any books or websites about it either. I don’t do hacking/cracking.
  3. If you really want to do what I do, develop a genuine interest in the topic. This takes a lot of mind numbing work, remembering boring details and multiple failures. Doesn’t even pay that well, most of the time. It’s fun for me, but I know for a fact that most people will get frustrated and bored out of their minds in a few weeks.
  4. Each country/entity needs to be tackled separately. For example, something which works for China, will not work for Iran or Russia. Read forums like Bharat-Rakshak (or similar country specific ones), follow some social media channels, read same news from multiple sources and develop a baseline of what you’re trying to learn before diving in deep. Keep notes.
  5. There’re better quality datasets of multiple entities than what I’ve published, yes. I can only refer to you someone authorised to sell some of them. Don’t ask stuff for free, no matter what organistaion you represent.
  6. Don’t ask for my opinions beyond what I write publicly. I’m not that important or knowledgeable.
  7. I am open to work on projects of my interest and expertise only.

Thanks for reading.
